Understanding Wage Garnishments

According to Florida statutes, however, if the person makes at least 50% of the income in the home, the creditors are not legally allowed to take out any amount of money no matter what the circumstances are. In this way, Florida state laws prevent creditors from penalizing a whole family for the debts of one person.

Although wage garnishment may seem like a complicated concept, the most important part to understand is that if you make the majority of the money in the home, you are automatically protected from any wage garnishment that the creditors might try to force on you.
